The „Poppy Appeal 2021” event organized in Medgidia, in memory of Dr. Elsie Inglis and the Mission of Scottish Women’s Hospitals in Romania, on the Dobrogea Front in the First World War, and with the support of MEDGIDIA City Hall and the Ministry of National Defense through the Medgidia Garrison, we are honored to inform you, on the occasion of Armistice Day, that we support and join your ”Light Up Red 2021” and „Scottish Poppy Appeal 2021” campaign.
Between November 10-14, 2021 will be illuminated in red: the bridge over the Black Sea Danube Canal, Central Park, the volumetric letters of the inscription of MEDGIDIA city and the three monuments located in the Heroes Cemetery – Commemorative plaque dedicated to the sacrifice of Dr. Elsie Inglis and the Mission of Scottish Women’s Hospitals (SWH) in Romania, the Monument of Serbian Heroes and the Monument of Czech Heroes in the city of Medgidia.
